Laser Printers versus Inkjet Printers

Laser Printers versus Inkjet Printers

When looking for a printer, sometimes it’s hard to choose between a laser and an inkjet printer. How can you choose which is best for your situation? Let’s consider some helpful tips on choosing a printer.

First, you need to reckon about how much money you have to spend on a printer, both up-front and long-term. For example, an acceptable inkjet printer can be found for less than $ 50, but the cartridges can cost $ 20 each or more, and most inkjet printers require between two and five cartridges to operate. Additionally, the cartridges for an inkjet printer typically last for 500 pages or less. On the other hand, a decent laser printer can be found for less than $ 75, which is slightly more expensive, but the toner could last for as many as 3000 pages. So if you don’t have much to spend right now, an inkjet printer might be a excellent scale; if you have a small more to spend and don’t want to spend a lot on replacement cartridges, consider a laser printer.

Following, you need to consider the type of printing you will perform regularly.

Are you looking for a printer that will produce perfectly vibrant affect photos from your baby’s birthday, or your daughter’s ballet recital, or your fantastic-grandfather’s birthday party? Most laser printers in the sub-$ 200 range cannot photograph affect. Inkjets can do affect, but most manufacturers also produce printers geared toward photo printing. These photo printers typically have more cartridges, up to six or seven, which allows for simpler replacement when you photograph photos with particular affect tones more frequently. Photo printers also typically support borderless printing for full-page photo printouts.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a workhorse printer to generate lots of text or web page printouts, especially if you’re not looking for high quality, a laser is a much better option in terms of cost per page and reliability. Although reliability has improved much with inkjet printers in the past five years, they can still be temperamental; laser printers are much simpler and typically have less that can go incorrect.

Third, you should reckon about the features you want. Some printers are multifunction, with scanning, faxing, or copying support built-in, in addendum to regular printing. These are available in both inkjet and laser printer varieties. Shop around, compare manufacturers, and check reviews online of various models to see which features are especially useful, and which are gimmicks. For example, card readers come standard with photo printers, and make it simple to quickly photograph photos from your digital camera. On the other hand, faxing is probably something you won’t need, except for occasional business purposes, so choose a higher DPI scanning function over a fax option.

Question lots of questions from the store where you plot to buy your printer, and make sure the printer you choose will do what you need it to do. In summary, choose an inkjet if you want affect support, and a photo printer if you want especially excellent affect support. Choose a laser printer if you plot to frequently photograph black and white or grayscale text and images. But most importantly, choose the printer that fits your budget and has the features you want.

New Company Offers Products for HP Pro Series Printers to Reduce Ink Costs

Pro Series CISS

Littleton, CO (PRWEB) February 1, 2010

Adaptive Ink offers three new Continuous Ink Give System (CISS) products for any HP OfficeJet Pro Series printer that uses cartridge numbers 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 88, and 940:

1.    Two models of Continuous Refillable Cartridges (set of four cartridges each)

2.    Two Mini-Pro Series models with dye or pigment total ink volume of 280mL

3.    Eight Pro Series models with dye or pigment ink: 900mL, 1440mL, 1800mL, or 2880mL tanks

Each Pro Series model is equipped to plug-and-play, and includes the following:

Sealed ink tanks that are available in several different volumes
Cartridge assemblies with patent-pending connectors easily connect/disconnect to external tanks
Bladder safely protected inside a tough external tank
High-quality tank storage space drawer/printer stand made of heavy-gauge steel
A near-empty ink level visual indicator to say you when to reorder a new tank
Auto-reset smart chips (except for 940 cartridges)

The smallest Pro Series model starts at 9.95 and has 900mL total ink volume. That is a comparable value of greater than 0 worth of ink and equipment. All products are pre-primed with the same high-quality dye or pigment ink as cartridges sold by OEM printer manufacturers, but at a fraction of the cost.

“Our CISSs provide a fantastic value per volume of ink, especially in our 720mL tanks that provide less than a penny-per-page affect ink cost solution (greater than 38,000 affect pages per ISO/IEC 24711). The ink is contained in an airtight, light-waterproof bladder that keeps the ink chemistry stable beyond 5 years.” said Eric Johnson, VP of Sales & Marketing for Adaptive Ink.

Adaptive Ink also has an innovative recycling program for its empty Pro Series CISS tanks. Customers can simply drop the empty ink tank into any outgoing mailbox, because a pre-paid postage mark has already been applied to the tank – no packaging is required. The U.S. Postal Benefit will return the tanks to Adaptive Ink to be refilled and recycled for the next customer.

“By recycling and refilling these tanks” Johnson said, “our customers are not only saving money, but they are really taking a step towards cleaning up our environment.”

Inkjet vs Laser Printers

Inkjet vs Laser Printers

See the "Inkjet vs Laser Printers" video

live.pirillo.com/ – Everyone probably has various devices attached to their computers, but we can guarantee that most everyone has a printer. But, which one is better: inkjets or laser printers? The last time Chris used an inkjet printer was about 7 years ago. Since then he has switched to laser and never went back. The conundrum with inkjets is that even though they’re cheap, the ink costs a ton of money: inkjet manufacturers generally sell their printers at a loss with the hopes of making up the money in ink sales.Which one is better? It really depends on what you need to do. If you just do some printing every once in a while, and those prints don’t need to stay around for a longtime, you can probably stick with an inkjet. On the other hand, if you do a lot of printing then laser is the way to go: the cost per page with a laser printer is drastically reduced compared to the current inkjet industry. You’ll pay more up front for the hardware, but you’ll pay less for toner
over time (they’re more expensive, but you don’t need to replacement nearly as often). So, to recap: for quick jobs, or college students, you may just want to pick up an inkjet printer (in the case of a college student, use your universities computer lab). If you’re in a professional setting or do a lot of printing, you’ll probably want to stick with laser printers. What do you recommend?Want to embed our Inkjet vs Laser Printers video in your blog? Solid Ink Printer

Setting up a solid ink printer can be done in 3 simple steps:

1.       Plug in network and power cables

2.       Turn on printer

3.       Install driver software

Performance

The price and performance of solid ink affect printers now resembles that of monochrome printers. In fact, at 16 ppm speed and a time to first photograph of 9 seconds, solid ink printers are now quicker than 90% of all office printers life used today. Couple this with a low cost per page and the barriers to affect printing no longer exist.

A solid ink printer can go 40,000 prints before you need to replace the maintenance roller (a one minute procedure). The typical affect laser, having many more consumables, needs something replaced after printing only about 1,200 pages. The water cooler needs to be refilled after 682 coworkers have had a 6 oz. drink

A solid ink printer ties with a stapler for simple reload, though reloading the solid ink printer does not involve handling sharp, spiky metal objects, making it much safer. In fact, the solid ink sticks are earth friendly.

You can get different types of Xerox phaser according your need they are available with network applications also. Well loved Xerox phasers are phaser 8400,phaser 8500, Phaser 8560.

Low Cost Per Photograph

Low cost per photograph makes running the Xerox Phaser  economical. With black and white cost per page copy to monochrome printers in its class, the Xerox Phaser  is the only printer you need for all your printing.

File Compatibility

For excellent photograph quality, the printer must photograph your file the way you intended. To ensure consistent compatibility, regardless of file, application or platform, Xerox solid ink printers provide right Adobe PostScript 3 technology. With this industry standard, embedded eps files or high-resolution bitmapped images like a company logo or a clip art image photograph conundrum-free at the highest resolution.

That’s why leading graphics applications like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator depend on right Adobe PostScript compatibility for the best affect quality and accurate proofing.

solid ink printers are useful due to better printing quality and per page printing cost is very low in comparison to affect laser printers

For quality solid ink sticks you can visit to www.everyink.com

I hope this condition will able give you better view for solid ink printers as these are available to serve you better & cheap way of printing.
